Just to change subject. Curious what his record after 2 years is. I know he can't become a 4-timer; but curious about his W-L record.

For that matter; what is T Sackett's? I thought I had heard he had a good shot to set the record for most HS wins this year.

Skutt's starters seem to come in with with around 45-48 matches by the time state rolls around. My rough guess would be he has between 120-130 wins.

According to SC site; Sackett is 127-10.

This puts the state record of 155 wins (I believe that is correct) well within reach. In fact; he is likely to blast the record ... may win or at least get very close to 170.

Don't know what Aaron Denson's career record was; that would be interesting for comparison sake. I believe it is Aaron with 155 HS wins.

Drew Etherton is on pace to set the record. According to my count Drew's record is 129-9.

no offense to drew etherton, but he is not quite the lock that Sackett appears to be. Sackett, unless injured, will wrestle close to 50 matches this year, Drew most likely 40. Sackett also is more likely to lose a few matches because of competition levels, but I would put Sackett above Drew on the likelihood of breaking the record.

If you don't think Etherton will win at least 27 matches you are looney. Just as looney as someone who doesn't think Sackett will win at least 29. So they will both most likely break the record. Neither is more likeley to break it than the other.

Now, who will set the bar the highest is up for debate.

Presuming 129-9 is correct for Drew; he is averaging 46 matches a year ... not 40. So, Sackett has no particular "number of matches per year" advantage ... as was suggested. In fact; Sackett has wrestled 1 fewer match than Drew (presuming numbers correct).

Will Sackett and/or Bridgeford be Huskers, Lopers, Mavs, or head out of state?
