I thought since we are just getting into the school year and thinking about those November practices, could share a few things we did this summer!

First, we packed up the van and headed out on vacation:


We left for the airport, but just like home alone, we couldn't find little Jimmy:


We did find him though when we landed - don't know what happended to him for sure. Looked a little frazzled.

We first headed to the waterpark:



Had a great time there. Got a little wild though:


They we spent a day down at the beach. I guess there were some sort of warnings out there:



Then we took granny with to the amusement park. I think she had a blast:


We made it back home from that trip safe and sound. After a couple of weekends, we decided to take the motorcycle out. It's something like a Honda, or Harley or wait, I guess it was a cowasaki:


We headed out on 4th of July to see the fireworks show. It was the biggest and best I have ever seen:


Finally to wrap up the summer we headed out for a nice before school meal. Guess it was some sort of famous place:

played ALOT of poker! talked of memories past. camping. had some chinese food at Ta Chan.

Then took a little tour on my scooter...



'Course then the dog was jealous so had to take him for a ride too...



Made our annual falmily trip to wonderful Wyoming...



Was kind of nice because the kids ate free but putting up with them in the vehicle was tough...



They must take after some of my relatives that we paid our respects to during the trip...



But it got better after we replaced the A/C unit in the family truckster...




Finally revamped the bathroom...



Did a little fishin'



And last but not least, found that Chad guy they were lookin' fer in Florida 6 years ago!!!

sheeessshhh, a guy gets one lousy night of vacation all summer and this is the sympathy I get; it really hurts too, because I had no idea what direction I was going

Gee...all this makes my summer look pretty dull:

-- left my business to go back to work
-- moved to South Sioux City to get back into newspaper business
-- developed my poker game
-- quit newspaper business, probably for good
-- found part-time work
-- looking for full-time work in Omaha area
-- looking for new place to call home

You guys, obviously, had a lot more fun than I did...although I've been laughing my hiney off reading through this thread.

Really, I spent a week (felt like two) as semi-adult supervision on a mission trip with a church youth group. On the last day of the trip I sliced a finger open reaching into my tool bag before looking. Two hours in the ER, three stitches and a string of expletives that would make a sailor blush later, I was back with my group.

Then I hung out in front of the drugstore...
Other than that... Eat, sleep, work.

Anarchist...I got a paper cut looking at pocket aces in a tournament in Sioux City. Probably dropped as many blue words as you did, but no stitches were required.

Of course, when my aces were cracked by a runner-runner flush, I was thinking very hard about going to the drugstore...for some Tylenol.

yeah, i lost 200 at the horseshoe today. i went all in after the flop with aces, some old guy called with a queen high flush draw and made the flush on the river.

rebought in again, went all in with 2 pair, a guy called with a gutshot straight draw and got it on the river. man its like i never get that luck, but i also never play rags.

God, its like 99% of the ppl i ever play at the casino are the WORST players ever!

Mikey we need to get a Huskermat.com or NWImag.com poker game going. I know we could get ALOT of ppl to play.
