Obviously it would be awesome to win it but our goal is to become an AA in both styles.

We will do our best to back their predictions up.

Best of luck to Colton.

ya, and a few are registered jr greco and cadet freestyle. i noticed ty pelot and casey cobb are both that way. must have decided odds are better in jr greco with 14 entries than in cadets with 38.

I hope USA Wrestling takes a good look at this before next year. They need to get rid of 91 Cadet and 98 Junios. There is a reason the weight was changed in high school from 103 to 106. That is a joke when someone can go 0-2 in cadets and place at the same weight in juniors. Casey Cobb placed 5th at 103 in ID. It does not look like Pelot even started on his high school team. Are these kids worthy of being junior national all-americans? There are absolute studs there that will not be able to say they are junior national all-americans.

Yes, at our Northern Plains meeting we discussed USA Wrestling eliminating the lower weights in the Cadet and Junior division. The decision will be made at the State Leaders Summit in August.

This is why I continue to say that the Super 32 challenge has surpassed Fargo in terms of overall toughness. There is no Cadet/Junior division. They just run it all together no matter what grade you're in. They even attract some of the nation's toughest 8th graders. Two years ago a PA 8th grader named Zeke Moisey placed ahead of the PA big school state champion from the prior season. Fargo is still an elite tournament and has a lot of prestige but imagine if there was no divide between Cadet and Juniors.

Has getting matches to gain more experience crossed anyones mind. Better than sitting around for 2 or 3 days doing nothing.

We came to hopefully place as a cadet and that didn't happen so now it's all about mat time and preparing for freestyle, could care less about getting any hardware wrestling up a division.

There are also some cadets that are very worthy at being AA's in some brackets but may have had a bad day and get put out.

dante is doing BOTH. its the ones that purposely dodged the tougher cadet bracket that are abusing the system. cobb didnt get through but pelot got a bye and will aa by only winning one match. thats just wrong.

here are the numbers for the lower 4 weights
cadet greco free
84# 11 18
91# 24 36
98# 38 58
105# 50 73
junior greco free
98# 14 33
105# 28 31
112# 34 55
119# 61 83

if you combine the lowest 2 weights in each division it brings it in line with the next weight up. you still dont have the numbers of the middle weights but at least its not a one win aa. lets be real, most all of these kids are cutting some weight. if you are an 84# cadet you arent big enough for hs anyway so you need to work on giving up weight.
