Rookie Registered: March 02, 2010 Posts: 17 | Hey Coach, I sent the Norfolk Catholic entries in at 8 this morning. I just logged in and my entries were still showing up that I put them in. I emailed you the login and ID I was given so you should be able to get the entries off of that if they are not showing up on your end. Email me or give me a call if it still isn't showing up. Rookie Registered: December 07, 2007 Posts: 177 | I agree, Brester vs Bartling was awsome, also amazed at how dominating Coufal is, would love to see someone that could give him a match. |
World Champion Location: Wayne, America Registered: October 20, 2002 Posts: 5714 | Brester-Bartling was a price of admission match. Great tournament...18 of the 28 wrestlers in the finals were ranked. "Energy Flows Where Attention Goes" -- James Arthur Ray |
Rookie Registered: November 05, 2008 Posts: 64 | Any one able to describe the action of the Brester-Bartling match? |
Novice Location: Creighton, Ne Registered: November 01, 2002 Posts: 217 | All the scoring was escapes, but there was still a lot of action. Brester had 2-3 deep shots that he would have scored a TD on anybody else, but Bartling somehow fought them off. Brester scored the first escape, so he had the choice in the final overtime. He escaped in just a few seconds for the win. I think it was the end of the 1st OT period, they landed on the mat, both on their sides, just as time ran out. There was a lot of discussion around me as to who would have won that scramble if there would have been some time left. I couldn't say but would have loved to watch that. |
Rookie Registered: November 29, 2010 Posts: 10 | No score in first period. 2nd and 3rd period both wrestlers got an escape. 1st OT no takedown. Brester wins toss. 2nd OT Brester escapes. 3rd OT Bartling escapes. Final OT Brester has choice elects down and escapes. This match was between two outstanding wrestlers who have put in alot of hard work to get where they are at. It was a perfect example for young wrestlers to watch and see how you win and lose with class. There was joy and heart-ache but no bad sportmanship. Both programs should be proud of how the two wrestlers conducted themselves. This match was great for the fans, great for the sport, and probably made alot of young kids dream of one day achieving the level of success that Bartling and Brester have. |

Sounds like a great match! Great to hear about 2 warriors going at it without one of them losing their cool when things don't go their way! Congrats to both wrestlers and both programs. Shows loads of class all the way around! |
