Well, in the world of vocabulary, a person has to actively use a word 24 to 38 times to get the word into your permanent vocabulary. Well, I came across "pedigree" in a book I am reading by Dan Brown DECEPTION POINT. Good book, by the way. I liked the word and decided to get a good start on the 24 times (lol). Anyway, try it sometime, you will be surprised how much of a language guru you will become! |
