Spread the word....this thing is liable to catch fire. Got any big name Nebraska or Iowa wrestlers planning on jumping in the mix just to stretch your legs a little?

Was there a flier posted for this somewhere? What time does it start? Are there weight classes for the open division?

That sounds about right, but you don't have to get your Membership for this year just to take the Bronze class. I know when I took the class I just waited till the following season to get my membership.

Having gone to several National tournaments you make your money back on the admissions. I know I have. Even the USA State Tourney gets you in free if you have a Bronze card.

Bronze clinic is well worth the money!

Background screening is required by USA Coaches membership and is good for 2 years. You can purchase a coaches membership for 1 or 2 years if you wish to go along with the background screening. If you think background screening is a waste, think about the recent coaches in other sports that were caught with child porn; there was a soccer coach, softball coach, and baseball coach caught here in Nebraska not too long ago. What would that do to your club? $8.50 per year is cheap for your club to pay.

The Bronze Clinic is primarily for those that coach at USA national events and is a onetime cost. Once you reach a level of Copper, Bronze, Silver, or Gold certification you keep that for life. Some national events require a minimum of a Bronze level to get on the floor. Nebraska USA also offered it as a free floor pass at the state tournament in Grand Island. Over time you can get some or all of your money back.

The bronze coaching clinic is primarily put on so that coaches in Nebraska have an opportunity to reach that level. The National Duals and Fargo require Bronze level coaching cards. Not to mention it's a pretty good coarse. The test you take is open book and you take at home on your own time. It's not easy and you really have to read the material to pass the test. It's been well thought out and I still use some of the stuff I learned from it. I know I felt pretty good after I passed the test. It was an accomplishment. I would really like to become a silver level some day but it takes quite a bit of time. Just don't have the time right now.

That background check is suppose to go from 2 to 4 years from what I heard at our last Summit meeting. I don't think it's been implemented yet.

I agree with Alan that the clubs should be paying for the coaches cards. Have a separate fundraiser at the beginning of the year and poof....you'll have you funds to buy all the coaches cards you want and not even touch the general fund.

We encourage you to buy it on line because this always causes a bottle neck for registration. It's easier to go online to:

league membership
http://www.trackwrestling.com/...8009&logClubIn=false

Full membership for wrestlers planning on doing national duals, Northern Plains or Fargo.
