Congratulations Ronald Coleman! It was a pleasure watching you grow up to be a fine young man! Best of luck in college and kick some butt in football.

Sincerely,

Ron is a class act. What a great career. Has any Nebraskan beat him?

What an emotional moment. The announcer states that Coleman has just won his 4th state championship. EVERYONE stands and applauds. Coleman takes off his shoes and put them in the center of the mat.

Very cool. Thanks for the memories.

And our own SlvrHwk gets to take the mat home!

Was suprised to find out that the NETV guys didn't pick up on it or say anything about it.

I DVR'd the finals and even thought the camera cut away the announcers did talk about what he did and how it was the wrestler's sign of retiring.

Glad to hear that. The person I talked to didn't remember hearing anything!

Grear article and picture on the front page of the Sports section of the OWH today on Coleman. The writer obviously didn't understand the purpose of the shoes, but it's discussed.

That was awesome to witness - Coleman was and is a class act and I hope the big guy has a ton of success in college football.
