your guess at 215 may be a ways off. stepanek will have to wrestle the match of his life to beat jackson. 152 may be a closer match, not by much, but i would have to go with briebesca in that match up. briebesca is a much more polished wrestler than what I have seen from harrington. |

Junior Varsity Registered: February 02, 2004 Posts: 617 | jacie(lcmatgirl( and i attented and im gonna give my 2 cents of what i saw. good overall good tourny stc needs to seek out a littie more qualified help for the tables. was some clock issues and the matchweight wasnt always posted on score board hope they correct this problem before thier invite . no records or score on brackets which i do like to see. on to the compitition 103 finals mcnilt(cba)over negly(lc)5-1cba was a lot smaller kid but was way more aggressive. 112 carter(bt)over daro(aq) bt was awesome on his feet and daro paid for it for 3rd zavala(cicc)over williams(lc) tough weight class i dont know if boystown is rated but baet kids that were. good job 119 skrdla(dca)over hills(bt)7-3. dca looked impressive. for 3rd micek(htc)pinned brandt(wn) 125 negley(lc)over mcmickell(hst)2-1 mcmickell looked tobe the aggressor the 1st 2 and half periods but his defensive style cost him a td at the end and the match.i belive he should take the match to the whoever he wrestles instead of waiting for it to come to him. lc doesnt do much til end of period or when he needs it.both are outstanding wrestlers and should place high at state 130 hodgen(stc)pinnedjones(bt) hodgen had a good td and rode well in2nd period hodgen had another good td and wentfor pin right off of it and got it. hodgen seems to be ready to peak at the right time and if he uses his good takedown and leg riding skills (brett stay off your butt more on your hip)he will put himself in position for the goal that i belive he is after. 135 mitchell(bt)over romshek(dca) bt got a reversal in 3rd togo up 2-0 and dca wouldnt or couldnt move on bottom to try to tie it up 140 weidmann(bt)over liebhart(gicc) bt just to tough 145 standly(lc) over rach(dca)13-6 dca had good td and tilt to go up 4-1 lc did a nice front head lock for td and bp then cradle for more bp lc was way more aggresive 152 bribiesca(bt)over harrington(gicc) close match 160 daro(dca )over nicola(fb) back and forth matchdaro too good on feet and came up with axcellent win nicola lost so is no longer unbeaten does anyone know what class fb is? could see this again at state .great match! good win for daro 171 coufal(dca)over fetter(cba)coufal looked good with his older brother looking on 189 leak(bt)over hiser(lc)4-3close match 215jackson(bt) over stepanek(gicc)close til 3rd period the bt took over 275escamilla(fb)overcolclasure(bt)3-2 fb will shoot when he can might be the difference i match down the road. i blieve it won him this one fb remains unbeaten I saw wrestlers talking strategy during injury time outs did this rule change? these are my personal oppinions so ber with me or if your a wrestler work harder |
