If anyone could even post the top 4-6 seeds in each weight class it would be much appreciated, now that the brackets are done.

I've updated my Flickr site with some photos from today.

Go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/cpoke

There are also some from other tournaments. They're on the front page or you can search by tag. For all wrestling photos search "wrestling". For just Clarks photos search "clarks".

As a parent, coach and former referee I was greatly disappointed when I had to sit on the sidelines of my son's wrestling match today at High Plains in Clarks. The referee officiated possibly the worst he ever could have in the 189lb match.

Tied 1 - 1 in the middle of the 2nd period the Schuyler wrestler was warned for stalling. He then backed off the mat twice more in that period. The third period he backed out 5 times.....count them 5 TIMES...in the same location of the mat. NO point was given which led them into overtime in which the referee FAILED to call yet ANOTHER STALL as well as give a reversal.

AFTER the match he had the nerve to inform the coaches that he "didn't want to decide the match by a stalling call" I appreciate letting the wrestlers decide the match but to have an offical decide the match instead of calling the match UN-BIASED and letting the points fall where they may!

I ask you folks 'HOW do you DECIDE who will win or lose as an official? Is it not the DUTY of the official to make the calls according to when they happen AS they happen? Are they not SUPPOSED to be UNbiased? If the call should be made in the first minute of the match should it not be made in overtime???

AND to top it ALL off......in the VERY next match he gives a warning for stalling and within the same period only seconds later award a point for stalling!!!

Too little TOOOOOOOOO LATE mr official!!!

What are your thoughts folks?

Never, ever under any circumstances leave it in the hands of the official then whine about it later.

My son knows that. It still doesn't excuse the official doing a poor job. It is the official's duty to call a FAIR and IMPARTIAL match reguardless of the time left on the clock! what's FAIR is FAIR what's NOT fair is WRONG!

WWICM how do you NOT leave it in the hands of the official if he's doing his job right? ie.....fair AND impartial!

You find a way to score more points than your opponent and not have to rely on a completly subjective stall call to win a match.

You're missing the point. In the first place, I'm not whining. I am simply stating that the officiating was poor. Secondly, It should not have been subjective in the first place. The calls should have been made properly. If they had this would not be up for discussion!

Sorry but stalling is subjective no matter who you are.

It is up to the wrestler and his coaches to adapt on the fly to what is happening on the mat. If the wrestler is doing his job and pushing the action but not getting the call, he or his coaches have to be cognizant enough to change strategy on the fly and score points that are not subjective.

Once again, never leave the match in the hands of the official.

you're STILL missing the point. the calls were poor the entire match. the stalling was just the frosting on the cake. none of what you've said justifies the poor officiating......period.

OK

Your first response was all about how bad the stalling calls were and now that was just the frosting on the cake. I see a dad that can't handle his kid getting beat and wants to blame the ref. I'm done with this one.
