I'm looking through this and wondering how you can rank anybody yet. The info I have heard from many is Coleman is going heavy and Brittney is going 112. I also heard Green, Allgood and Edmonds all had knee injuries. The rankings at this time of year are all there to blow smoke up your rearend so you can feel happy somebody knows your name. The first rankings shouldn't come out till after the winter break and you shouldn't be ranked till you at least wrestle that weight.

Wow! Did you get left out of the rankings? Upset knowbody knows your name? What is the problem with getting names out early creating a little stir and excitement for the sport. The rankings now mean just as much as the week of state: nothing. Anybody can beat anybody end of story. Settle it on the mat! Finish in February!

WOW Miracle Worker, why are you so harsh? It's not like they really mean anything at this point, but does give the wrestlers not rated and those ranked lower something to shoot for!!

Understand I'm not upset by the rankings, I just don't get the point of them until they actually wrestle some matches. The BCS, albeit a bad system, doesn't come out till the middle of the season. All I'm saying is rankings right now mean nothing. End of story. Roll Eyes

I don't see any way Coleman makes 215. He weighed in at 250 the other day.

Since you haven't figured it out, one big point is that it gives additional exposure to the sport. I do believe most of the kids have wrestled "some matches" haven't they? How many does it take? And who gets to arbitrarily decide that number? If you don't like the Coaches Association putting them out this early, join the ranks and let them know! HB says his first ratings will be out early next week. Is that too early too?

Maybe you should just ignore the posts about ratings if they mean nothing right now.

So JOH putting rankings in the paper gives our sport more exposure, to who? When most people go through the paper they skim the things that they WANT to read. If someone has interest then they read it. Putting rankings in the scoreboard part of the paper isn't exposure. Exposure would be an article or a little column written about our sport. Kind of like the little things about Burroughs in the paper. That's exposure. If you noticed HB post about Coleman, that is my point. At least HB is waiting till next week to put out rankings, that gives him a better chance to see where kids are likely to be plus they have a chance to go head to head with some other talented kids. As far as figuring it out, I'm good, don't worry about me.

BTW JOH who's the leading money winner on the LPGA tour? That's the same exposure that we are getting by placing it in the scoreboard section. You got it figured out yet. Funny

ok Miracle worker....why do you even care that the rankings are out...they are basicly pre season rankings...are you just mad you aren't on the pre season rankings...and into the season you'll see that most of the people on those rankings will still be there...and rankings really dont matter till state...And the LPGA tour c'mon man
