Wow Rick,
For a young program, you've got a lot of weights filled there. Good Job!

Rocker........... My recruiting techniques have improved dramatically over the last two or three years. Its not like I'm driving vans at two-o-clock in the morning south of Ord anymore, trying to impress my wrestlers. And I'm not recruiting from 7 or 8 towns anymore, I've focused it down to 3 or 4. And my Chili keeps getting better and better! I can't help it that I'm finally getting smart enough to figure some things out........science teachers have been known to problem solve you know!

DW,

Thanks for the words even if they may be slightly premature. I'm happy with the direction of the program at this point. Now that I've got some quantity, I'm doing my best to turn it into quality, across the board. This is the first year at Yutan that everyone on our roster has actually wrestled before and it feels good that when I say the word 'whizzer' everyone actually knows what I'm talking about! BUT......Don't think that I didn't notice that everybody else on this thread got to add accomplishments after names. We haven't done anything yet, but the goals this year are to change that, both at the individual level and also the team level.

Next year our numbers wont be quite as high because of graduation, but I see a good bubble of talent coming up that are 3-6th graders right now. I'm cautiously optimistic about not only the present, but also the future of the wrestling program at Yutan. There......I've jinxed myself!

I hope you have a great year DW! You too are to be commended. You have done a ton to become one of the top teams in the state. Here's to improvement, health, and sportsmanship for the 2009-2010 season!

I'd heard that the Yutan school's property tax levy skyrocketed this year...
