World Champion Registered: August 27, 2002 Posts: 6425 | I just have to say I think it's pretty dang impressive that the smaller Class D schools can put together a full roster when a lot of Class A schools can't. Wrestling is obviously big time in Morrill and Winside. |
<Wildcats> | The red and white pin-stripes have been around for 25 years. Big time names have come out of Winside. Big time is an understatement. |
<Guest> | Wrestling is almost a religion in morrill. |
<Guest> | Morrill will fill their roster and also have 5 or 6 JV wrestlers. |
<Guest> | Don't go getting too caught up in all of these teans, before you get someone from howells to tell you their line up...They will be very tough this year, and my pic to win state. |
State Qualifier Location: Norfolk,Ne Registered: October 22, 2002 Posts: 1042 | Dont expect Howells to be on fire right out of the gate. They are still playing football and will need some time to work on conditioning. The seniors this year are about to win their 4th football title, and only lost 1 game in their 4 years. If you get a chance to watch the game on TV tomorrow @ 7:00 pay attention to Bayer and Bazata.Overton is 240,250,and 300 across the line so it could be interesting for a while. My guess though is that it will be Howells by 2 or 3 scores or worse. |
<Guest> | I am not from Howells but we wrestle them several times during the season and I will be suprised if the score is within 40. These guys are a level above everyone else in 8 man football. |
Rookie Registered: July 01, 2003 Posts: 109 | watched the howels overton game last night in lincoln and was very impressed with howels. they have some tuff kids and should do well in wrestling. Overton played well but just wasn't fast enough. |

Hus World Champion Location: Ord, Nebraska Registered: October 19, 2002 Posts: 3252 | was all over the field. Had to laugh a bit tho when announcer said he was 177 LB. |
State Qualifier Location: Norfolk,Ne Registered: October 22, 2002 Posts: 1042 | I know he was over 170 early in the season and it doesnt look like he's dropped much. He's gotten thick through the shoulders.I think Chad will have to cut a little to get to 112. |
NCAA Champion Registered: February 03, 2003 Posts: 2006 | I would have thought he was going 119...he looked pretty big for 112 this summer and that was 4 to 5 months ago. |
