Now that the NFL playoff field has FINALLY been decided, who's going to be in J-Ville for Super Bowl XXXIX?

Here's one man's view...

NFC -- If Philly doesn't win the conference championship here, then they have become this generation's Boston Red Sox as the team that can't seem to get over the hump.

Losing Terrell Owens hurts because of the attitude he brought to the team (to say nothing of the talent), but I feel they are the team to beat right now.

My picks: Seahawks over Rams, Packers over Vikings, Packers over Falcons, Eagles over Seahawks, Eagles beat Packers to win NFC.

AFC -- This is the real Super Bowl matchup here, as the top three teams in the AFC are clearly superior to the best the NFC has to offer.

Therein lies the rub -- as tough as this bracket will be, the winner here may end up getting lit up by the NFC champion (unless Seattle somehow wins the NFC...then it will come down to the last play, which will undoubtedly cause me to keel over, win or lose).

Between Pittsburgh, New England and Indy, this one is up for grabs. In that case, go with the field position.

My picks; San Diego over NY Jets, Indy over Denver, New England over Indy, Pittsburgh over San Diego, Pittsburgh edges New England.

SUPER BOWL XXXIX: How about this...the battle of Pennsylvania for the first time in Super Bowl history. A great blue-collar matchup, and I'm going to go with the AFC on this one, although that might be the day Rothliesberger gets his first loss as a starter: Steelers 34, Eagles 27.

Darkhorse picks: Seahawks and Indy. If THAT matchup happens along...Peyton Manning goes nuts and shatters Super Bowl passing records. Count on it...

i think that if the eagles get every body back for the conference Championship nobody will beat them.

Pittsburg Stealers are unstoppable with Big Ben at QB. The NFC is pretty much wide open though with TO being hurt. i think Green Bay is goin to surprise some people and make it to the super bowl, and get pounded by Pitt.

My long awaited death match with NWI is now squarely in sights. In the NFC you've got the suddenly vulnerable Eagles...but I still think their the class of the division...especially with home field advantage. As for the wild card teams, expect some shootouts, GB & Minn have played twice with identical 34-31 scores the result. I think GB wins this game by at least 7 points...Chavous is out which puts an already terrible Vikings D that much further behind the 8 ball. As for Seattle/STL part tres...Of course I'm going to pick STL...duh. I think Alexander has an absolute field day though...another potential shootout.

To the AFC...wow an absolute meat grinder...
Denver/Indy...Indy's reminds alot of STL, "Greatest Show on Turf" teams of the 90's...they are built for the dome and they thrive in it. I don't think they destroy Denver the way they did last year..but I think they win by 10+. SD/NYJ...SD wins due to the fact that I don't know if the Jets can go deep consistently enough to keep the heat off of CMart and Co...this will be a physical, grind-em out game...SD wins by 4.
To Recap...
NFC...
Green Bay
STL

AFC...
SD
Indy

Seattle will beat the STL this time around, but it will -- as it has too *#^%#@%*&^ many times this season -- come down to the final minutes as the Seahags try valiantly to yank defeat from the jaws of victory. As their reward, they will go to Philly next weekend and promptly have their beaks handed to them by the Beagles...but at least the Scams will be out of the playoffs. BWWWAAHAHAHA (just kidding, Kman... Big Grin)

The Viqueens can't win on the road OR outdoors, so the Cheddar Boys will take that one. Indy will light up Denver and two tough road games in a row will be too much for the J-E-T-S.

Do you get the feeling this weekend is like listening to a real crappy opening act before the guys you shelled out $250 for tickets to the concert of the year come out to perform???

Score predictions:
NFC
Seahags 34, Scams 32
Cheeseheads 41, Viqueens 21
AFC
Ponies 42, Fillies 17
Yeller Bolts 31, Gliders 21

Put your money on the Vikings to take the NFC! They will pull it together and run the table. The NFC is weak now that TO is on the mend! The Lambo mystique is gone! Now for the AFC, Looks like a NE and Pitt final with Pitt in a close one! Vikes and Steelers...just like the old days...Steelers in a land slide!

The Lambo Mystique is gone??? Try telling that to a team that has lost 20 of its last 22 games there.

I agree the NFC is weak...but you might as well use that money you're putting on the Viqueens to start a fire with...it'll burn just as fast.

Real Super Bowl is in the AFC this year.

STEELERS LOOK LIKE THE TEAM. I THINK PHILADELPHIA IS THE TEAM IN THE NFC EVEN WITHOUT SHARPIE BOY. HOWEVER THEY ARE ONE HARD SACK AWAY FROM BEING OUT THE FIRST ROUND. EAGLES GO AS DONOVAN GOES. THAT BEING SAID STEELERS WILL REPEAT THE REGULAR SEASON DOMINANCE OF THE BATTLE OF PENNSYLVANIA. STEELERS 35 EAGLES 14. BLING BLING BLING LATE. AND ROME STOP POSTING AS RJ NABISCO. ROME JUNIOR NABISCO THAT IS.

Late...you have Rome on the brain. That late late late bling bling stuff is old. Rome ate you up and spit you out back in the day. Now of course if you really wanted to drag him back...I am sure that Mike and you could drop him a note and see if he would come back. As I said in an earlier post...I do wish he would come back. He made this site a place to visit! His battles were fun to watch. He could always get your goat and make you want to say stupid things like bling bling bling! But I doubt you can get him out of retirement...he has already conquered this site!

OK NUTTER BUTTER BOY. SINCE YOU SEEM TO WANT TO EXUME ROME'S FILTHY CORPSE FROM NEVERLAND, AND YOU WON'T ADMIT TO BEING THE SON OF SAM, THEN ANY SMACK DOWN YOU WANT TO HAVE IS FINE WITH ME. GAME ON. TAKE YOUR PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY BUTT BACK TO THE FACTORY AND MAKE SOME REAL COOKIES. AND BY THE WAY PACER BOY, ROME NEVER CAME CLOSE TO RUNNING ME. I WAS ALWAYS VICTORIOUS. LOOK WHO IS THE LONE CLONE STANDING. I HAVE THE VINE AND WILL SWING FROM IT FOR EVER. ROME HAS BEEN BANISHED TO HIS BASEMENT TO CULTIVATE CANIBUS. NEVER TO DWELL IN THIS FORUM AGAIN. SO BANISCO WHEN EVER YOU ARE READY BRING IT ON. BUT BEWARE. REMEMBER THE RULES AND PLAY BY THEM! BLING BLING BLING LATE. THAT MY FRIEND IS THE HUGE CALL OF THE DAY!

SORRY ABOUT THE SEAHAWKS MIKE. INGRAM SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT THAT PASS! THEY HAVE A HIGHER DRAFT PICK THIS YEAR THOUGH AND NEXT YEAR MIGHT BE THEIR YEAR. THEY HAVE A LOT OF TALENT. ABOUT RJ NABISCO HE IS THE ONE THAT CALLED ME OUT. TOO BAD FOR HIM. HE DOESN'T HAVE HALF THE GAME THAT CARRIE DID. THIS WILL BE A BORING VICTORY! BLING BLING BLING LATE!

If I had a dollar for every dropped pass the Seahawks had this year...well, let's just say I could spend a few more hours at the craps table on the boats at the casino.

Ah well...life does go on.

Go Vikes!

They can definitely beat Phily...

They finally have their heads screwed on straight, but I don't think they can make it to the superbowl. They'll run out of gas in the NFC Championship.

Sling sling sling, late. What you are saying here is that your meat is slinging old and tired. Your stuff is old and weak. Wait I got a chair for you? No not the needle chair yet, but the wheel chair. So crawl your amputated ego up and have a seat! I got some cookies for ya to chew on, but that would require that your 4 box cookie eatin butt put in your teeth! As far as chewing up good old Rome, that is still a figment newton of your imagination. But I am sure he likes the toothless version of the late ego posts!

You may attack the Rome character, but if you want to step into the Marlboro Man’s world you better be ready to be smoked fool! We have an old horse for you to ride and joust, you might know old Mr. Ed. I hear you call him daddy!

Since 1875 we have been rolling em up and smoking them…you are just another piece of Kentucky baco! All smoke no flame! What you speak is cancerous to your health. SO bring your nilla wafer eating, cheese whiz, slim jim azz to the table, for we are about to spread you out and hang you in the barn to be smoked late!

Now pass me my smokin jacket...time to light up!
