Novice Registered: December 13, 2005 Posts: 230 | Great opportunity for you guys broadcasting the upcoming NCAA Div II matches at Kearney. My ticket has been locked in a safe deposit box since mid January. Check out the DIV II website for media guides, updates & result. My Div. II research file almost rivals the boxes of info I have on NE high school stuff. Sorry, I won't be listening to you guys. But it's going to be a real hoot. Especially the way the Loper's are wrestling right now. Good luck guys. You'll do a great job. |

Rookie Registered: November 25, 2006 Posts: 185 | Time to get fired up for DII nationals. UNK is going for their 1st title ever and should be as strong next year. I predict 3 champs and 7 AA's. Allgood, Dlagnev and Farrell will win it IMO. Go LOPERS!! Remember-CLONESRULE!! |
Rookie Registered: February 09, 2007 Posts: 12 | I think UNO could have anywhere from 2 to 5 champs. Bribieseca, Meneely, Taplin, Naig & Marrs. Hopefully someone besides Farrell will win 184. He doesn't deserve it. |
Rookie Registered: November 25, 2006 Posts: 185 | Wow, you must hate Farrell! What the heck did he do to make you so mad and why would he not deserve it? It must be personal because a 22 match winning steak going into Nationals is alot of momentum to take. IMO, I think he has a chance. I don't think Talpin, Brib or Marrs will win it all, but will all place. Go Lopers! Remember-CLONESRULE!!! |
Rookie Registered: February 09, 2007 Posts: 12 | Maybe you are right. I just remember when he thought he was so much better than DII. Plus ther are so many other wrestlers who have clean engine power. I think he may have a little to much fun during the season. |
Rookie Registered: November 25, 2006 Posts: 185 | From what I heard, that is the main reason he had to leave Lincoln. Too much extra curricular activities. From what I'm told he's cleaned it up alot and takes it serious. I think now we are seeing his real potential. No matter what happens UNO, UNK and DANA are bringing respect to college wrestling in Nebraska, which is great to see. In Lincoln it appears "the inmates are running the asylum". Remember-CLONESRULE!!! |
Rookie Registered: February 09, 2007 Posts: 12 | I heard that Cody Garcia will be medical redshirting this year. That will hurt them. He would have been a champ for them. This could open the door for UNK's 125 pounder |
Rookie Registered: November 25, 2006 Posts: 185 | Agree, and it hurts the team race also, because he is hard to replace. Remember-CLONESRULE!!! |
Rookie Registered: February 09, 2007 Posts: 12 | If Taplin would actually wrestle he would be awesome. He must be scared or unsure of himself, because he hasn't taken a shot in his last 10 matches or so. He needs to step up if UNO plans to 4-peat. It will be a close race between UNO, UNK, UCO & Mankato. I think bonus points will be the key. |
State Qualifier Registered: October 16, 2005 Posts: 1077 | Taplin has had very little offense lately and has won a lot of 1-2 pt matches. If he does not pick up on his shots, he will be in trouble. Marrs was beaten 13-2 last week by the #2 guy. He is far from a lock to win it all. |
Rookie Registered: February 09, 2007 Posts: 12 | Marrs has gone 1-1 with the Augustana guy. I heard he was very sick when they wrestled. I think that Naig and Meneely are a lock. Bribieseca, Marrs and Taplin could win it, but it depends if they are at the top of their game. I think the UNO could also have all americans at 184 and HWT. |
